Welcome to the official fan and history site for Pun Intended — the cable comedy network founded by the Kellerman brothers out of Columbus, Ohio on May 23, 2007. Now in its sixth year of operation, the network has grown from a 380,000-household carriage deal and a five-show launch lineup into one of the most-watched independent comedy networks on cable.
Pun Intended carries nothing but sitcoms and original comedy programming, around the clock, no exceptions. That was the promise on launch day and it hasn't changed.
The network launched May 23, 2007 with five shows. As of 2012 it carries thirteen acquired titles and six active originals, with two further original series — Playing A Practical Joke and Spindash! — premiering November 2012. Maverick is currently the network's highest-rated original, averaging over 20 million viewers in Season 3. Kanzai has been renewed for two additional seasons.
Pun Intended exists for one reason: to make you laugh. We believe comedy is not a genre. It is a way of life. While other networks fill their schedules with crime dramas and reality shows, Pun Intended made a promise on Day One — 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Nothing but sitcoms and comedy programming, wall to wall, no exceptions.
If it isn't funny, it isn't on Pun Intended. Simple as that.
